‘Tis the season for shopping. So why not shop local? A fantastic find for holiday (or any day) shopping is Apotheca, located at 24 Main Street in Goffstown, New Hampshire. This adorable little nugget is a cafe, florist, and gift shop rolled up in one. I love their organic/ funky style, not to mention the local artisans they support. … my extraordinary friends and family… a home where I am safe and warm… the path that has brought me to this moment… a body that is healthy, flexible, and strong… the ability to laugh at myself… a new understanding of forgiveness, honor, and compassion… fantastic hair days… Sleepytime tea… rare moments of nimble internet connection… velvety paws… animated movies… a fly set of wheels that keep me in motion… homemade veggie burgers and pizza a la Ray… handwritten letters… rainy Sunday mornings… fresh flowers… fresh basil… rocks smoothed by the ocean… rockin’ business referral partners… the gift of creative expression… ALL manner of art and beauty… ginger dark chocolate… and because they are worth repeating - my extraordinary friends and family.

Fortunately, I am still in the position of minimal responsibility when it comes to Thanksgiving. Well, in terms of food preparation that is. I think it is safe to say that I tend to fall into the role of “floater” in situations of family gatherings. Forgot a major ingredient? I’ll zip to the market. Kids need a distraction? Auntie to the rescue! Minor flooding in the basement? Tend to the turkey Mom, it’s under control.
As you may have guessed from my last entry, my initial reaction to Thanksgiving = ***FOOD!***. Hence, the post on decadent dining rooms. Nevertheless, I’d like to give props to those multi-taskers doning the aprons this year - enjoy these amazing kitchen images.
