Isn’t it funny how the littlest thing can spark an idea in you? I was recently walking my dog in the woods when I noticed how pretty the dry leaves were in combination with the evergreens and snow. Suddenly it hit me: I could design a room around this! And that is just what I did.
In what I call a “January Transitional” inspired living room, it’s all about blurring the lines between styles, layering textures, and dressing the room in an earthy palette of hunter green, cream, and camel to create a relaxed, cozy, yet sophisticated space. The clean lines of the sofa and chair, in contrast with the organic forms of a sinewy lamp and bamboo mirror, work effortlessly with accents to add texture and pull the space together.
